The 6th class children made Rice Krispies Christmas Trees with Mrs Doyle today to mark the end of term. The children really enjoyed making (and especially eating!) the Christmas Trees. Many thanks to Mrs. Doyle for her assistance. The Children presented Mrs. Doyle with a card and some flowers to thank her for her help throughout the year as Mrs. Doyle will begin her Maternity Leave during the Christmas Holidays. We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
To mark the end of our first term and to celebrate the coming Christmas Holidays, we took a break from our work on Wednesday 21st to enjoy a morning of popcorn, hot chocolate (with marshmallows!!) and a movie. The children were delighted when they realised what was happening with some remarking "it was the best day ever"!! I hope it will be a day they will remember forever. Merry Christmas to all!
Our Christmas concert was held today in the school. There was a fantastic turn-out and a big "Thank You" to all that attended. The Choir entertained the crowd to start proceedings - singing some of the songs they will be singing at the "Sing Out Loud" concert in Killarney in the New Year. Last week, as part of our Food Appreciation classes, Selina O'Connor visited the school and showed us how to make Gingerbread Men. Many thanks to Selina for giving up her time so freely. The children thoroughly enjoyed their time baking.
Our Christmas Concert will take place on Friday 16th December. The concert will begin approx. 11:45am with the Senior Choir singing some songs. At approx. 12noon the Junior Show will commence. This will last approx. 30 minutes. The show will conclude with the Senior Choir again singing some songs. The concert will be finished by 1pm.
