Christmas Concert

Our Christmas concert was held today in the school. There was a fantastic turn-out and a big "Thank You" to all that attended.

The Choir entertained the crowd to start proceedings - singing some of the songs they will be singing at the "Sing Out Loud" concert in Killarney in the New Year.

Next up was our concert, comprising of Junior Infants - 3rd Class. We know we are bias, but we must say they all looked absolutely beautiful. From narrators to the angels & stars, the Shepherds and the Wise Men, the sheep & the animals, the children & the Inn-Keepers, Mary, Joseph, the Sonkey & the Christmas Tree. There was 75 children in total on the stage and each and every child really put their all in to the day.

To finish, the Choir sang some more fantastic songs before departing with "Sleigh Ride".

The Parents Association held a raffle during the concert with approx. €700 raised. Well done to the prizewinners - some fantastic prizes on offer! Many thanks to all those who contributed to the raffle and also those who gave prizes - as always your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks also to Carol Naughton who was on hand to take some photographs of the children prior to and during the concert. These will be available to view on the website next week.

Merry Christmas!
