
ABOUT GLOUNAGUILLAGH NATIONAL SCHOOL

Glounaguillagh National School has been providing education to the local community since 1841, and has proudly operated from its current school building since 1887.
As a Catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Kerry, we are committed to fostering a caring, inclusive and supportive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential academically, socially and personally.
Glounaguillagh N.S. is a co-educational primary school catering for pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class.
Our dedicated staff includes six mainstream classroom teachers, two full-time special education teachers and three additional needs assistants who work together to support the learning and wellbeing of all pupils.
The curriculum is delivered across six key areas:

At Glounaguillagh N.S., we strive to provide a positive and engaging learning environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, creativity, respect and independence.
We are fortunate to have a dedicated and supportive Board of Management and an active Parents’ Association, both of which play an important role in the life of our school community.
