Glounaguillagh N.S., established in 1887, provides high quality education through a relevant and stimulating curriculum in a secure and purposeful environment.  We integrate digital pedagogies throughout the curriculum.  Classroom spaces are carefully organised to support learning and our well-resourced facilities and beautiful grounds create a sense of place.

 

In Glounaguillagh National School, our Catholic ethos is characterised by our caring spirit, our commitment to pupil and teacher learning, and the provision of a wide variety of curricular and extra-curricular opportunities. Fostering a strong partnership between the family and the school through clear and continuous communication is a key element in students’ success at Glounaguillagh N.S.. We work closely with parents, keeping you involved and informed about our school. With the above in mind, It is with immense pride that I carry out my duties as Principal and I am always extremely grateful to the hard work and goodwill of our parents, pupils, teachers, SNAs, caretaker, cleaners, as well as our Parents' Association, Board of Management and the wider community of Glounaguillagh, Caragh Lake & Killorglin, all of whom help make Glounaguillagh N.S. the unique, warm and welcoming school that it is.
